Spiral bound guitar book arrived on time as promised. As reference book for guitar chords, it's quite convenient to use for all levels of guitar expertise. It also provides alternatives to play a certain chord. It's easy to follow and to use. Using the tabs near the edge of the page, chords are arranged from A to G & "other chords". Obviously, the guitar greenhorn needs to learn a few basic chords first, and this book builds on those skills. Although the first edition was published in 2006, guitar chords don't really change, unlike other fields of study, so it's relevant today as it was years ago. I deducted 1 star because the back cover arrived crumpled, and I like to keep my books pristine. This book is supposed to be brand new. The person who packed the box was not careful. I still recommend this guitar book as a quick reference. It's faster to use this than look up chords individually on the web.
For the longest time I have "messed around" with my guitar. I bought a book on Jazz guitar chords many years ago and found that those fingerings were way above my skill level. I decided to get a basic chord book to reinitiate myself. This is that book. Going through these pages has re-ignited my lust to learn more about playing my guitar. One chord at a time. Simple. Skip to another key just as simple. Actually, I haven't realized how many chords I really know how to play. I just need to learn the name of those chords. This book will help with that too. Give it a try.
I've given this guitar chord book away as a gift and purchased one for myself. I love the spiral bound binding and I'm sure all but the best guitar players will not run out of chords to learn in this little book. I highly recommend this book to learn guitar chords. It's not a book that teaches you how to play a guitar. It is mostly chords but this is a crucial part of learning to play, right?
This is the perfect reference for guitar players, from novice to professional. Well organized and visually clear, in particular for folks with poor sight. Highly portable and a pleasure to keep near by for quick checks while you play.
This is a good book for variations of chords... But it is a pain to maneuver from one chord to another often. (ie: D to A variations.) I would recommend it as long as you were prepared for either lots of scrolling or guessing where the chord is when you choose the chord icon...
This is a thick little book with nice big chord diagrams and shows chords in various positions. I like that it is spiral bound. The only thing missing is tabs for the letter sections so that you an easily flip to the letter note/chord you're searching for rather than having to turn a lot of pages to get to what you want. I plan to put in my own divider tabs.
This is exactly what I expected it to be. As a beginner I'm just looking for information that will help me out. The pages are easy to turn and being a spiral book the pages stay open. Now all I have to do is to find the time to practice.
Over the years, I have had several different books of chords. I like this one the best. The big spiral binding makes it lay flat and easy to use, and the chords inside are big in size and easy to see and read. When I practice, I keep this manual with me for a quick reference. This is a good buy and a good thing to have for any guitarist.
