I have just begun my journey into psychology, and I found this book to be an excellent place to start. I liked how each topic was well covered and each opinion or statement of fact was well supported. The relationship between psychology and the Bible was handled with respect and thoughtful insight. I believe this book will enhance the education of both Christian and non Christian.

I purchased this book because it was required for one of my classes, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. Much easier to read and understand than my other psychology textbooks. This book is a keeper.

Great and amazing informaton. people think they need to spend lots of money but this shows you how not only to use use natural and nature but also shows you how on a budget. PS author needs to demand quality work. I look forward to the next book. I would have given a five star if my pages are not falling out.

I’m so thrilled with what I’ve learned in this book. It makes so much sense. I think of all the money I’ve wasted over the years on lawn care and weed killing with chemicals with very unpredictable results. I like the fact that I can do it better with natural solutions. Due to my lack of a green thumb I’ve always avoided trying to even do a garden. This is the first book I’ve ever read that made me excited to try.

Andrew Evans first arrived in the Ukraine in 1994, and worked there for two years. His love for such a rapidly changing country kept him returning wearing many different hats – as a NATO analyst, a graduate student, political consultant, and finally as the author of Ukraine. Andrew now works as a freelance travel writer. He is also a regularly featured speaker on travel destinations at the Smithsonian Institution and has appeared on the Travel Channel. He is also the author of Iceland for which he won the 2008 Lowell Thomas Award.  Massimiliano Di Pasquale first travelled to the Ukraine in 2004 and has been back to explore the country many times since. Photographer, writer and journalist, Massimiliano writes regularly about Ukrainian culture and politics for many Italian magazines and newspapers. In 2007 he interviewed President Viktor Yushchenko for Italian geopolitical magazine east. In 2010 he published the photographic book In Ucraina. Immagini per un diario (In the Ukraine. Pictures for a diary), and  in May 2012 the travel book Ucraina terra di confine. Viaggi nell’Europa sconosciuta (Ukraine Borderland. Trips in unknown Europe). The only travel book on the Ukraine is the Bradt. They aren't my favorites but I replaced a 3rd edition with it. Some glaring errors like a town described as 70 km W of Liev is actually 70 km East. Oh well.

Visited the Ukraine in November 2014 and bought this book a week before I lefton my trip. It was very useful and I hope to use it again when I return. There is not much outthere on Ukraine tourism but there should be.This author writes in a very comprehensive and interesting way. You don't feel your readinga guidebook from 20 different contributing authors. The book feels like it was written by someonewho knows the country and has enjoyed visiting. The book also feels like the author wants you toenjoy it as much as he does.

I recently returned from a trip to Chernobyl, Kiev and Lviv. I loved this book. Really helpful historical material.

This is relatively thorough guide, but it could use a few more visuals and photos. Some of the sections are a bit out of date and could use some updating to include newer hotels, restaurants, etc., but overall, the guide is thoughtfully done and includes important information about the history of Ukraine.

I found this book on Ukraine very interesting. For a more contemporary fictionalized view I also enjoyed the new spy novel "Death of a Spymaster" that is set in Kiev at the beginning of the current conflict with Russia.

I learned about this book from another travel book. It is curious to me and I want to know more about the two women who traveled in a car into deep Asia over 70 years ago, just before the WWII broke out. It turns out to be the best travel book I have ever read. Ella Maillart had a sensitive heart, her compassion for the people and their lands were deeply touching. It revealed a world before the 'globalization', a time that people had same struggles and soul-searching just as today. I wish more people know about Maillart and her books. I went ahead to buy more of her books.

There are only a very few instances when the author talks about her relationship between with Christina. She talks about places and historical events that, I have to admit, I have never heard of, even though my wife and I visited Yerevan, Armenia, and Baku, Azerbaijan. I have only made it to page 75, as I found it soooo boring.

All Roads are open; Part II by the other woman, Ella K. Maillart. Her side of the journey is very different. How could two people take the same journey and have an entirely different experience? You will want to read more by each author.

It did have lowpoints in it. It was a travel diary. It only grabs you at the beginning and end with the love and love of the humanspirit.

They are quite simply told in a matter of fact way which lets the reader divine the comic within the narrative.I can't claim this was my favourite piece of travel writing but it introduced me to Ella Maillart and it was enjoyable having her wrangle openly with the reader about her reasons for travel and what she hoped to find by doing such journeys. She was very much a seeker and not a trivial person.

If you liked Into Thin Air or The Perfect Storm, search out all of Ella Maillart's books. She was a female adventurer back when women didn't even travel to civilized places, much less uncivilized ones. Her books are inspiring to read. I'm amazed at all the places she sought out around the globe. What a woman!

About the Author

Keith Miniscalco has been coaching youth basketball for over 30 years. Currently he is the varsity head coach for the Resurrection College Prep High School girls' team in Chicago. He continues to coach in his travel program, Over the Edge, based in Chicago. The program has been proven effective for young athletes who wish to continue with competitive basketball through high school. Miniscalco has also coached at Our Lady of Lourdes, Queen of All Saints, Loyola Academy High School, and the Chicago Park District. He lives in Chicago. Greg Kot has been the Chicago Tribune's pop and rock music critic since 1990. His work has been honored by the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors, the Society of Professional Journalists, and Brill's Content magazine. Chicago magazine selected him as the city's finest critic in any discipline. Along with being a regular contributor to Rolling Stone and other national periodicals, he is the music analyst for Fox TV morning newscasts. Kot's books include Wilco: Learning How to Die (Broadway Books, 2004), Ripped: How the Wired Generation Revolutionized Music (Scribner, 2010), and I'll Take You There: Mavis Staples, the Staple Singers, and the Music That Shaped the Civil Rights Era (Scribner, 2014). In his spare time, Kot is a youth basketball coach and is proud to say that both his daughters survived his coaching and went on to lead happy and productive lives (so far, at least). He and his partners operate Over the Edge, a travel-team program based in Chicago that prepares grade-school athletes to compete at a high school level with an emphasis on the fundamentals. I like the way the book is set up, very easy to read. The front of the book has a drill matrix which helps you easily find the drills. Other than a couple of drills, most information here is very elementary and for someone who has never coached or played. I am a little more experienced as a coach, but still found some nuggets of good information. I believe you will learn something by purchasing this book even if it just provides additional plays.

This book helped to make my first coaching experience go better than it would have without. It was definitely lined up with how I felt 3rd and 4th graders should be coached, and while I had more players than most teams it wasn’t hard to adjust things to work for us.

I've been playing basketball all my life and love the sport but coaching is completely different. Knowing what to do and knowing what to teach are two different things. This book was easy to read and is a great tool to get started with. It explains the fundamentals that the kids need to know and gives a reasonable amount of drills to reinforce those skills. I use something from it in every practice.Please read the title, it tells you everything you need to know."Coaching Youth Basketball" - This book is about the basic fundamentals to teach to new, inexperienced or even older kids who have been poorly coached. It's an introduction to dribbling, passing, shooting, offense, and defense. They also touch on in-bound plays and beating a press."Only the Essential Drills, Practice Plans, Plays, and Coaching Tips" - This is a good thing, it's easy to read, understand and teach. It's a good starting point, as you and your team advance you will need more drills, plays, etc.

I bought this to coach my sons 10 and under team. I haven't played basketball in over 20 years. This book is very detailed and has drills for offences and defense. I am extremely pleased with this book.

I am new to coaching this year (4-5 grade boys) so I needed a book that would demonstrate the basics as I did not have any formal training growing up. The book is easy to read and lays out the basics from individual skill techniques to defensive and offensive sets for the team to run. It also has a schedule list of things to run a practice so you do not have to come up with one yourself to start. I have found this book to be very helpful. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that I was hoping that it would contain more "fun drills" for the kids to do (kids really like the "knock out" game in it). Overall, worth the money..

Concise and free flowing material. Great starter book for any youth coach boys or girls, community school or private. Highly recommended

Basics of the basics, made me want to write my own book and share my experience. Good for the person brand new to come coaching and basketball.

Very good book. I found it quite helpful. Didn't agree with 100% of their advice, but that wasn't my expectation going in (I wouldn't expect anyone to agree 100% with me either). Much appreciation to the authors for writing this.
